My name is Allysun Maria Dutra and i am Kittinhawk.
my line is strictly handmade and each piece is one of a kind. This work is crafted completely from recycled materials that i source from all over. Garage/estate sales, antique stores, thrift stores, or even off the street or out of the dumpster. i disassemble old things into new, this work is my alchemy, my love and my lifes work. Thru inspiration and passion creating wearable art not consumable product with my heart and hands.
i have committed my life to recycling but on a larger scale to living a sustainable lifestyle. i have chosen to make each piece painstakingly with my own hands and to keep my business small and community oriented. I am living by example instead of protesting because i believe actions speak louder than words. in a time of such considerable waste i am choosing to make a small difference by utilizing pre existing materials and re-working them. it is acknowledging our earth is precious and that our resources are sacred. It is consciously embodying a solution instead of being part of the problem.
